Over a 5 year period we’ve re-positioned Monash University as a global change maker, interested in focussing on the true meaning of higher education. Nearly 3 years in the making, this feature film and campaign has featured at many film festivals and streaming platforms, as well as picking up Best in Show at the Melbourne Advertising Design and Creativity Awards.

The TVC was supported by a hefty outdoor campaign and a front page wrap on the countries biggest newspaper. We timed the launch to be just days before the federal election, just when the world’s most important issues were on everyone’s mind.

This is the 30 second TVC that kicked it off. The babies we filmed were all born on the 1/1/2020 – the first to be born into the Endangered Generation.

We also created an interactive exhibit, where people could imagine the futures of The Endangered Generation and how they could be positively affected by Monash University research and innovations. Each point in the child’s hypothetical timeline linked to a course students could study to help make change.

The documentary was launched after the ad campaign and explored the 5 categories that needed to be at threat in order for humans to be classified as endangered. Thankfully there are some very wonderful humans tackling these issues. Here is the trailer:
